Long ago, where the great forest met the open plains, there stood a small village nestled at the Edge gf the Wood. The villagers prospered from the bounty of the land, and each autumn they gathered to celebrate the harvest with music, merriment, feasting, contests, and laughter that echoed beneath the changing leaves.
Yet the ancient woods that bordered their homes held secrets older than any kingdom. It was said that beneath the final Harvest Moon, when the veil between worlds grew thin, strange lantern lights drifted silently among the trees. Travelers spoke of hearing distant fiddle music, ghostly laughter, and the whispered voices of long-forgotten souls carried upon the autumn wind.
Rather than fear these mysterious happenings, the villagers welcomed them. Each year they kindled great bonfires, hung glowing lanterns, and donned masks and costumes so that friend and phantom alike might join in the festivities. For one enchanted night, the living and the legendary celebrated side by side.
As the years passed, the celebration became known as the Edge of the Wood Renaissance Faire—a place where knights and witches, pirates and peasants, noble lords and humble artisans, fae folk and wandering spirits all gather beneath the Harvest Moon. Some come seeking hearty food and lively entertainment. Others arrive hoping to glimpse the strange and spookier beings said to emerge from the forest once the sun has set and the lanterns begin to glow.
Even now, if you wander too close to the trees after dark, you may hear the distant strains of a fiddle, the creak of a phantom wagon, or the laughter of unseen revelers echoing through the mist. Should you follow the flickering lights, you may find yourself welcomed into the celebration...
...or become part of the legend yourself.
Welcome to the Edge of the Wood Renaissance Faire, where every harvest season the old stories awaken once more, and for a single magical weekend, myth and merriment walk hand in hand.
